After the early birth of my youngest daughter (born at 29 weeks) I practically lived in the NICU for 2 months.  When the time came to take my daughter home, I was scared out of my mind.  I decided to quit my job and stay with my daughter full time to take the best care of her.  After watching her tiny body grow and thrive, I was very happy for spending the time with her that I did.  However, our finances were getting tight.  I decided to start a direct sale company so that I can continue to spend time with my daughter.

I researched many different companies and met with a lot of nice people.  It wasn’t until I talked to my old friend, Cheryl, who was an Independent Director of Scentsy did I hear about this fabulous company and its product.  She explained the products to me and how it was a safe alternative to traditional candles that warmed wax by a 25 watt light bulb thus maximizing the scent and making it more enjoyable and with a peace of mind! being a mom and especially a mom of a preemie, I like the idea of safe.  So without a sniff, I joined Scentsy.

When my UPS guy delivered my starter kit, and I opened the box, the wonderful smells hit me immediately.  I excitedly opened each tester and smelled each scent one by one.  When I came across Hazelnut Latte, I was brought back to a wonderful memory.  back when my husband and I were dating, I used to come by his house and always smelled Hazelnut in the house.  I came to love this smell as time went on.  When I smelled the Hazelnut Latte, those memories of us dating and happy moments came flooding back.  I became my first customer and bought a Hazelnut Latte scent bar!  Now my house smells like Hazelnut, the smell of dating my wonderful hubby.

I have now been with Scentsy since August, 2010.  I have had the best parties and met some amazing hostesses! I used to be very timid and shy and with Scentsy, I have come out of my shell.  I love talking Scentsy! I share it with everyone I come across.  They too, always come across a scent that brings back a memory like my Hazelnut Latte did for me.

I love that I can stay with my daughter and still give her the mommy time and care that she needs.  She loves to be my litle helper and tell people about “Mommy’s Scentsy” Together we share our passion to great people about the invigorous scents and safe candles.  One day, I do hope to build a team, but my daughter will always be my littlest team member!
