Anita Smithson is a mother of five children, wife and Christian business woman. Her life has not always been perfect, in fact it never has been- she learned at very young age how to make it “always” look perfect because that is what she was shown by example. See growing up, living in a middle class neighborhood she knew that out in the world you were to be perfect at all times, even when behind the close doors their may be chaotic, it was not to be spoken about- hush hush. Finishing high school as a young pregnant mother 2 be, her life became more complicated. She fell into a life of alcohol to numb herself day to day, survival mode kicked in, she suffered through several abusive relationships, bad decision making, living a life of a single mother raising her son. She married in her mid 20′s, shortly after two and half years her first marriage ended in domestic violence, her fleeing for her life and protecting her children. Once again she found herself as a single mother now of three children and struggling to make ends meet. But in the midst of it all the Lord showed up, shined His light on her (He never left her side, she just couldn’t see Him through the darkness of her life) and did you know He has NEVER left your side? * Anita is currently writing a book all about surrendering it all and sharing more of her life journey, struggles and triumphs in every aspect of your life.
This is the SONG that rocked her world, and her life has never has been the same since- JESUS, TAKE THE WHEELÂ (click on the picture below) by Carrie Underwood
Can you relate? Do you remember a time, when  you heard this song and just fell to your knees? I would love to hear your stories, please share with me HERE
She has overcome many things in her life which she looks as a blessing- though during the times of trials and struggles- it may not feel like it. She knows their is reason for every single one. “your test become your testimony and your mess becomes your message”
Her struggles, life decisions, her pain and her happiness- are what makes her relatable to maybe you or others struggling in the same areas. Her prayer is that a part of her story, may be familiar to you- that she may be able to give you strength, hope to know in your heart that “if the Lord has brought to it, He will bring you through it”. As a survivor, she has learned how to pull herself up from the depths of depression and anxiety by the act of daily surrendering to her flesh, letting go and letting God. Not by her own strength but on relying on the Lord’s strength, mercy and grace for her. Anita has risen to a life of wholeness in whom she is and who her Heavenly Father created her to be.Â
