Jeffrey Schneider  and Ascendant Capital LLC are Giants in the Alternative Investment Industry

Jeffrey Schneider, a resident of Austin, Texas, is involved in the alternative investment industry and founded of Ascendant Capital, LLC of Austin. The company is a very diverse entity utilizing a range of operational, sales, education and marketing services culminating in a most innovative approach to structuring financial investments and portfolios. Mr. Schneider is also all about health and keeping one’s body and mind in good shape. To that end he maintains a healthy diet and exercise regime that enables him to participate in iron man and half iron man competitions and marathons on a regular basis. Dick DeVos, a Modern Philanthropist

It is always refreshing to read about wealthy people who take an interest in their community and the welfare of others. A January 04, 2016 Forbes Magazine article by Shandra Martinez discusses the philanthropy endeavors of the DeVos family. A recent example of their generosity was a donation of $500K to assist families of the Orlando mass shooting victims. The article goes on to reveal that over a lifetime of giving the family has donated approximately $1.2 billion dollars to a wide variety of causes. These donations were made through five charitable foundations.

Richard DeVos, is co-founder of the Amway Corporation which has became a very successful business. He and his partner, Jay Van Andel, formed the business in 1959 and started out selling door to door. Today, he is a billionaire.

Dick DeVos, his son, has an interesting past and has been involved in community events most of his life. This is demonstrated by the Dick and Betsy DeVos Foundation, which has been outstandingly generous with local causes.

As a child, Dick assisted in his father’s Amway operation by greeting visitors, cleaning and doing other manual tasks. Upon graduation from high school, he entered the Northwood University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He also attended Wharton School’s Executive Study Programs and Harvard Business School. He has received numerous honorary doctorates from various colleges and universities.

In 1974, he began work with the Amway Corporation working in all areas of the organization. In 1984 he became a Vice President of Amway International at which time his international sales surpassed domestic sales and set a new record. He assumed the position as President of Amway, from 1993 to 2002, prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer of The Windquest Group and Orlando Magic.

Dick DeVos’s entire life has been devoted to hard work, self-discipline, honesty, compassion, charity and forgiveness. This is outlined in a 1998 book, which he authored, entitled Rediscovering American Values. In this book, he emphasizes the importance of people taking personal responsibility for their problems.

He currently holds a large number of posts and board memberships. He is especially proud of his founding of the West Michigan Aviation Academy (a charter high school). This school is devoted to educating students in general studies while incorporating their love for aviation.

Dick DeVos is acutely aware of the importance of assisting the community and has devoted his life to this purpose through extensive donations to all types of education, arts and other projects. He is mindful of the importance of assisting those who benefit the public through their programs. He is not only a successful businessman but is ever aware of responding to the needs of other people.
