Vijay Eswaran is a successful entrepreneur in Malaysia and an author. Vijay was born on October 7, 1960, in Penang and he is currently serving as the Chairman of the QI Group whose headquarters are in Hong Kong.
Vijay Eswaran attended the London school of Economics where he graduated from in 1984 and acquired a degree in socio-economic. After his graduation, Vijay was not the kind of a person who looks down to some jobs he had taken some odd jobs before he got a job he would want.
According to QBuzz, Vijay Eswaran was a taxi driver in London, took a job in France where he was plucking grapes and at a point in his life worked on a construction site in Belgium. In the UK Vijay got a great opportunity where he was introduced to binary systems for marketing this made him seek professional qualification from CIMA in the UK.
He was very determined to increase his knowledge, and this made him join Southern Illinois University where in 1986 he graduated with an MBA. During his time at the Illinois University, he took some part time jobs which involved in Multilevel Marketing, the company that gave him the job was Synaptics in the United States. When he returned to Malaysia, Cosway Group sought him to lender his expertise when it was starting its Philippines business. Vijay while working for the Cosway group began seeing a lot of potential in Multilevel Marketing, and he gave it more attention.
In 1998 Vijay returned to Asia, having worked in a multilevel marketing company, he knew well his experience would help him if he set his company.
This motivation and believe in himself saw him launch the QI Group an e-commerce company that has businesses in luxury products, media, travel, wellness, corporate investments, and training. The QI Group has a presence in over ten countries through its branches, and the major offices are in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand.
Vijay is a speaker and has had an opportunity to speak in major business forums in the world. In 2005 he authored a book, In the Sphere of Silence that explains his management philosophy, personal life and his habit that he has carried on for a long time of starting his day in an hour of silence.
In 2008 he launched another book, In the Thinking Zone a book that entails reflections of life and thoughts and in 2010 Vijay wrote another book, 18 Stepping Stones.
He is philanthropic and has a foundation, RHYTHM foundation that supports social programs and charities. His success has seen him named by Forbes as among the 50 richest people in Malaysia he is listed at number 25.
